Signed up with Mweb and before my 1st debit order even went off, I received an email saying the monthly charge is increasing from February. What the hell? A month went by and my first debut order eventually went off with the pro-rata, fine. Then this month I get a statement saying I owe over R700. My debit order is supposed to be R599, this is what was advertised and this is what I signed up for. I have already paid the courier fee, the Rica fee, the pro-rata and last month's instalment. Yet Mweb is not reachable to query this and everything is automated and you never actually get to speak to a call center agent! Then Mweb want to tell you at signup that you are on a contract and cannot cancel within the contract duration. So basically they dangle a nice package in front of you and call you to sign it up, and from then on you never speak to them again and they change their advertised product and run away, leaving you under a contract that you cannot cancel!
