I spoke to Kerishnie Govender on the 28th April 2026 confirming Mweb fiber, she told me that in 24 to 48 hrs they will take the initial fee of R249 and the router will be delivered in the same time. The fee was taken only on the 2nd of May and the router was only delivered on the 13th of May. I have contacted Mweb telephonically and via email I am still waiting to be connected. I also contacted Openserve the company dealing with the connection and I am still waiting. I just want to know why I am not getting clear answers. Why does it take so long to get fiber when everyone around me has it. This matter needs to be investigated. ThanksšŸ˜”

Hello  Gopichand.
We understand how frustrating this delay has been, especially after the expectations set around timing and seeing others in your area already connected.
Our records show that our team connected with you on Friday and logged an urgent request with our Openserve partners under ***. What this means is that your address still needs to be fully created and verified on Openserve’s fibre system before activation can proceed. This is a necessary step that allows us to ā€œplotā€ your address correctly so the fibre line can be linked and activated at your premises.
While this process sits with Openserve, it can sometimes take a bit longer depending on system updates and area readiness, even if fibre is active nearby. The good news is that your request has been prioritised, and we are actively following up to move this forward as quickly as possible.
As soon as the fibre line is fully activated and ready for use, you will receive an email confirmation right away so you can get connected without further delay.
We remain closely engaged on this and will continue to push for progress to get you up and running as soon as possible.

Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
