Horrible service

Reported a fault on my ADSL line on the 7th of November, where whenever there is any rain in my area the line would keep losing sync every 2 to 3 minutes, making the internet pretty much unusable.

On the 11th I send an email to MWeb support with additional screenshots showing the session issues, and photos of the horrible state the cables on the Telkom pole behind my house is in, and the only response I received to this email was the automated reply from the MWeb system.

Over the weekend of the 12th/13th I receive two phone calls from Telkom, each time asking if my line is working fine. Each time I tell them that I'm still experiencing the constant disconnection issues during rain storms. After those two calls I receive no futher communication from Telkom.

On the 14th of November I phone MWeb Tech support again, telling them about the calls from Telkom and the email with the photos I sent, and the issues we had experienced over the weekend when it rained again. I'm told that the issue has been escalated yet again, and I'm back to waiting for someone to hopefully come and fix the problem.

On the 16th a Telkom tech arrives to "attend" to the problem, does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at my house, leaves to go look at the DB my line runs to, and comes back with a photo on his cell phone showing the DB being completely overgrown by bushes. He then tells me there's nothing he can do since he can't get to the DB, but that someone will come to clear it, and then he left.

On the 18th two different Telkom techs show up at my house, does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at my house, then tells me they need to go check something at the exchange and that they'll be right back. They leave, never to be seen or heard from again, and in the meantime I'm still waiting for the problem to be resolved.

I phone MWeb support again on the 22nd of November since I've not heard anything from MWeb or Telkom since the magical dissappearance of the Telkom techs on the 18th, informing them of the "work" done by the three Telkom techs, only to be told yet again that MWeb will escalate the problem with Telkom. Since then I've heard nothing from Telkom, and even less from MWeb.

So I get home this afternoon (25th November), it's raining lightly, and lo and behold, I'm unable to use the internet because the problem I reported ALMOST THREE WEEKS ago has still not been resolved. What more do I need to do to have someone actually attend to the problem instead of either escalating the issue, or showing up at my house and doing nothing?

Reviewer Update

After spending 45 minutes on the phone with MWeb tech support last night, where I completely lost it because the tech on the phone had complete apathy with me and my line issue and being told the soonest somebody can look into the issue is on Monday, I've decided to cancel my account with MWeb. I'm not going to pay a company that couldn't care less about their clients. The 1st of January 2017 cannot come around fast enough.
