Fibre Package now R200 more than agreed to, debit order taken... and I don't even have a internet yet!
I have been waiting weeks now and still don't have internet. I told the agent that I already had an openserve connection at home, but was told that "Mweb no longer makes use of openserve and that I had to get a Vumatel connection". Only to find out after the installation that my package is now R200 more because I use Vumatel and not openserve - and that Mweb in fact DOES still use openserve. So now I have an openserve and Vumatel connection at my house! So in other words, I agreed to X amount package on the phone, but after installation and acceptance I am told, no sorry, it's actually R200 more per month. I will not pay R200 more than what I agreed to just because a sales agent doesn't know what they are talking about. To make matters worse my account has already been debited when I don't even have a router or internet at my home, despite the agent telling me that I will only be billed pro-rata from the day that I am connected! Yet another lie... And then said sales agent has the nerve to tell me that I am remembering our conversation incorrectly, yet still hasn't sent me our recorded conversations as requested... not to mention another agent who was extremely rude when I queried how it was possible for my agreed premium to suddenly change after the fact. It's like buying a car and then the bank comes back after the fact, after you've already driven out the lot, telling you that you have to pay more despite you signing a deal on a fixed interest rate. I expect a refund for the pro-rata I have been debited during the time which I do not even have internet, and I expect Mweb to honor the 12 month agreement I made telephonically when I accepted the package and gave them my banking details in good faith - for the amount I accepted it, and not a cent more. Mweb debiting my account for a different amount than what I agreed to is ******* , and not what I agreed to making our agreement null and void - meaning I have every right to insist Mweb must come and take out their installations and I will make use of another ISP.
I am beyond disappointed.
