Extremely poor service - quite scary honestly

I have been a MWEB client now for the last couple of years.

Service I received the last month has been extremely shocking.

I had an ASDL and fibre packages with MWEB, I subsequently cancelled my ADSL package and asked that my fibre line be transferred to the address where I had ASDL.

To which I received a response stating I would have a penalty to pay +-R1200 which I sent an email on 17 December 2020 stating please go ahead and log the order, the existing installation is for MFN. I than received a response on 23 December 2020 to say thanks for confirming and also wanted clarity on when my relocation date will be as well as letting me no that there is a freeze period so line activation (move) can take up to 2 weeks (which should be tomorrow 06 January 2021) To which I rep**** on 24 December 2020 as follows relocation date 25 December 2020.

This is where it all gets strange I than receive an SMS on Wednesday the 30th December 2020 as follows “ The Fibre infrastructure provider has cancelled your Mweb Fibre order. We are finding out why and will be in touch with next steps” Than another message as follows “ Your Mweb Fibre order has been cancelled as the order was not completed. You can log in online to complete your order at any time!

I than called MWEB on 4 January 2021 to get clarity and find out what’s happening “billing department told me to speak to Sales department” I waited patiently for 20 minutes and call was answered by Mfuneko Nohesi who assured me that the matter would be resolved by close of business and that he would get Bramwell Barnes/ Zaida to contact me immediately.

More than 24 hours I still await feedback..

Pathetic service, just to transfer a line with same network provider and I have given go ahead on the amount it will cost.

Don’t let prices fool you when choosing service providers RATHER LET QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE CONVINCE YOU
