Extremely poor customer service
right through to installation. Communication is extremely poor, installation technicians do not honour appointment times, and there seems to be little to no regard for the fact that clients also have schedules to manage. We cleared our schedules for the installation appointment only for the technicians not to show up, without any communication or update. Their follow-up team is just as disappointing, with little communication, no accountability, and no sense of urgency or apology. Reaching them is a mission on its own, and even their WhatsApp support is completely ineffective, with issues never being resolved. At this point, I’m genuinely concerned about what will happen once the service is finally installed. If I experience internet issues in future, I have very little confidence that they will be helpful or responsive.

When the rest of the team eventually arrived, they completed the installation and left. About 10 minutes later, another property in the yard that uses MetroFibre informed me that their services had been disrupted and were completely offline. My service was also not working, although I had been told it would take about an hour and a half to activate.
I informed the technician, and he returned around 7PM. He appeared inconvenienced by having to come back and fix the issue caused during the installation. He fixed whatever issue there was and left. My neighbours’ services started working again, but mine still did not. My router was flashing red. I initially assumed that after the activation period everything would be fine, but the internet still did not work. I informed him again, and he simply kept responding with “ok.”
I asked him to come first thing this morning, and he agreed, but there has been no communication from him today regarding what time he is coming, or whether he is coming at all. Even yesterday, for him to return and fix the issue, I had to repeatedly follow up because my neighbours were extremely upset as they were still working at the time.
I am also working this weekend and need stable internet, which I clearly explained to him. Throughout this entire process, however, he has seemed very relaxed, has communicated poorly, and has shown no sense of urgency. It honestly comes across as though me reporting that the service he installed is not working, and requiring him to return to fix it, is somehow an inconvenience to him.
The installation itself may be complete, but the fibre is still not working. Whenever I try to connect, it states that there is no internet connection. I find this extremely unfair and highly inconvenient. I am very unhappy with the service I have received from the ordering stage all the way through to installation. The entire experience has been a pain, to say the least.

We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this has been, particularly when the installation process itself caused further disruption and required repeated follow‑ups from your side. What you’ve described regarding the technician’s conduct, delays, and lack of urgency is not the standard of service Mweb aims to deliver.
It’s acknowledged that there were challenges during the installation visit with the network provider’s technician, including incomplete work due to missing equipment and the impact this had on both your service and neighbouring properties. While the physical installation may now be complete, activation is still required before the service can function correctly. We have reached out to the team that handles activations to urgently follow up on this and to provide you with clear feedback via email on the next steps.
Your feedback will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement, as the ordering, installation, and activation journey should be seamless and handled with clear communication and accountability throughout.
If you would like any further assistance, please reach out via direct message on Hello Peter, our team will gladly assist.

Kindly confirm where the router currently in my possession is from.I received a router delivery from MWEB, and the delivery note from Internet Express clearly stated that the order was from MWEB. To date, I have only received one router, which was the one delivered under the MWEB order.
However, I am now being contacted by a company called RSAWEB, claiming that the router I received belongs to them and that I need to return it. This is extremely confusing, as I have not received any router from RSAWEB, at least not to my knowledge.
Can you please clarify whether the router supp**** to me by MWEB is somehow linked to or owned by RSAWEB? There appears to be significant confusion between the two companies, and this entire process has unfortunately been a complete mess.
It is also unfortunate that the only response I seem to receive from MWEB is via HelloPeter, as calls and WhatsApp chats appear to go unanswered, which has only added to the frustration and confusion surrounding this matter.
I would appreciate urgent clarification on this issue

Thank you for reaching out and for clearly explaining the situation. It’s completely understandable how confusing and frustrating this has been, especially when different companies are contacting you with conflicting information. This is not how the process should feel, and clarity is essential in a situation like this.
To clarify, Mweb has no association with RSAWEB. The router delivered to you was supp**** directly by Mweb and is a ZTE router with serial number ZTEYH8TT3G07134. This device was issued by Mweb and does not belong to RSAWEB. You are not required to return this router to RSAWEB, and it should only be returned to Mweb if and when the time comes to do so.Your feedback regarding the confusion and the difficulty reaching us through other channels will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement, as communication and clarity around equipment ownership are critical. If you need any further clarification or would like us to engage on this matter again, please feel free to continue the conversation with us here on Hello Peter, and we’ll gladly assist.
