Elusive Mweb
Mweb was very keen to assist telephonically and I received an email on 17 July 2026 thanking me for my order. I was further informed that my order was submitted to the Fibre Network Operator and once my order was approved they will be in touch with installation details. That was the last communication almost 5 weeks ago! I have sent emails to mweb, enquired on their app, but they remain silent and leave the client in the dark! This is real poor service Mweb!

24 Aug 2026, 10:54Hello Faan,
We understand your frustration at not receiving updates on your order and being left uncertain about the progress, especially after receiving confirmation that the order had been submitted.Having reviewed your account, we can see notes indicating that your existing fibre line is only scheduled to cancel with your current provider at the end of this month. As a result, we are unable to take over the line until 1 September, which is unfortunately what has caused the delay in progressing your order. To help expedite the process, we recommend contacting your current provider and requesting an immediate line release. Once they have confirmed that the line has been released, please let us know via Hello Peter and we will gladly notify the relevant team to proceed with the takeover as soon as possible. We appreciate that the lack of communication has been disappointing and that this experience has fallen short of the service standards we aim to provide. Your feedback will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement.Once you have received confirmation from your current provider that the line has been released, please send us an update and we will gladly assist with escalating the order further.
Kind regards,
Mweb Team

We completely understand why this would have been frustrating, especially after being with Mweb for the past seven years. Your concern is valid, and we can appreciate why being advised to contact your current provider would have caused confusion when that provider is Mweb. We’re actively working with our Activations team and Openserve to get your fibre connection fully operational as soon as possible. Our team will continue to monitor the order and assist with any further updates needed, so you’re not left having to chase this between providers. We value your seven years with Mweb and want to get your connection up and running without any further unnecessary delays.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
