DO NOT USE MWEB!

Signed up for a 3 year contract with mweb in January 2023 on a 25% off promotion for the first 6 months. From day 1, I did not receive my full bandwith... I have a 500mbps/250mbps line. I get up to 450mbps if I'm lucky. I've logged numerous queries, but just get the response from mweb stating that it is a "UP TO" service... YES, I AGREE... IT IS UP TO ..... Now, we don't have internet at all, the fibre lines are down half of the time, and when we do have a connection, it never reaches above 450mbps... On month 3 of my contract, during the promotional offer, mweb decided to increase my fees with 10% due to openserve increasing their prices... When querying on cancellation, I am told, obviously, I need to pay the full contract for the 3 years up front to cancel. (This equates to approximately R40 000) So now I am stuck, for 3 years, paying for a line that cannot be downgraded or changed in any way even though I am not receiving the speeds that were indicated and have no way of exiting the contract...
