DO NOT JOIN MWEB - LYING TO CUSTOMERS BY SELLING LOW SPEED AT LOW PRICES

I contacted this pathetic ISP in December 2020 specifically for an uncapped fibre 10/10 line and was sold the package by Darryl Brink. From day 1 of being setup I started experiencing issues with the service. It was later discovered that I was not on a 10/10 speed but a 10/2 speed!

BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR WITH MWEB. THEY DON'T DISCLOSE THE TRUE INTERNET SPEED AND MARKET THAT YOU ARE PAYING CHEAPER! DOCUMENTS DON'T SHOW YOU THE SPEED EITHER.

It is now 4 months since I am with Mweb and I finally decided that I have had enough of their ****py service. My connection went offline for the third time in 3 weeks. No accountability and they do not warn or notify of downtime or apologize for the inconvenience. Approximately 2 months ago I was fed up of the constant wifi disconnect and I was going to leave mweb. I was contacted by the Sales Manager Bramwell Barnes who is nothing but a big mouth piece from the company. Made promises that if I ever have any issues then I should bypass calling into the call centre and should email him directly and he will address my concerns. Not once did he keep to his word and acknowledge my emails nor contact me to resolve my issues emailed to him.

Today was the second time I was so infuriated with their disgusting service, I ended up paying R2500 as a clawback to leave but was a liberating feeling leaving this behind me and actually going to Afrihost where the service is excellent, speedy and professional.

1. Mweb does not have an email address to email.

2. Mweb does not have outbound calls for technicians to call you back.

3. Mweb has an online technical tab where you log your complaints but no one monitors it and if they feel like then they will respond there after a few days and you don't get notified that a response is there.

Please do yourself a favour and pay a higher subscription elsewhere to have peace of mind. Don't say I didn't warn you!
