A few years ago I upgraded to fibre via MWEB. They also offered me a VOIP package, where I only paid for the calls I made - nothing else. I cancelled my Telkom line a a result. Now MWEB changed their strategy. I now have to pay a monthly subscription, which includes a few free minutes for each VOIP number. This is very disingenuous from MWEB. Wait until you have signed up, and cancelled a Telkom line, then unilaterally change the terms and conditions. Yesterday I wanted to add another Fibre line to my holiday home. I called MWEB. They left me holding for nearly 15 minutes. The first agent did not answer, but I could hear him/her shuffling papers on the desk, before I was sent back to the end of the queue. I even had to key in my account number again. The second agent put me on hold, which again sent me to the back of the queue. Then, while talking to the third agent I got cut off!!! Now, to put insult to injury, MWEB informs me that I have used 50% of my monthly VOIP minutes!! And that while holding on to speak to them. Question: Will you give MWEB your new business?
