Disgusting service

Absolutely unacceptable service. We have been without Wi-Fi for five days now, with no resolution in sight. On Friday, my husband was contacted and told that a technician would be coming out on Saturday. We rearranged our entire Easter weekend around this appointment—only for nobody to arrive, and not a single call or message to inform us of the cancellation. It is now Tuesday, and we are still without internet. This is not just an inconvenience—it is actively affecting our household. My children rely on internet access for their schooling and homeschooling, and we are now completely stuck because of this ongoing issue. What makes matters worse is the complete lack of customer service. Calls go unanswered, there are no callbacks, and no sense of urgency or accountability. We are repeatedly told the issue is with OpenServe, yet MWEB refuses to provide any contact details or take ownership—despite the fact that we are paying MWEB directly for this service. Payments are taken promptly, but when it comes to delivering the service we are paying for, there is a complete failure. At this point, it feels like customers are simply being ignored. There is no communication, no follow-through, and no support. Extremely disappointing experience.

Hi Stephanie,  thank you for sharing this. Being without WiFi for five days, especially after rearranging your Easter weekend for a technician who never arrived—is incredibly frustrating. We understand the impact this has had on your household, particularly with your children relying on the connection for schooling. The lack of communication and follow-through you’ve experienced is not the standard we aim to deliver. While Openserve manages the line infrastructure, you’re absolutely right, Mweb is your service provider, and the responsibility to drive this to resolution sits with us. This needs urgent attention and proper coordination to get your service restored without further delays. Please send us a direct message with your profile details (full name, ID number, and the email address linked to your Mweb account) so we can locate your account immediately. Once received, we’ll escalate this with priority, re-engage Openserve, and ensure you’re given clear feedback and a confirmed path to resolution. Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

Thank you for your response, however this situation remains completely unacceptable.
We have been calling throughout today, and school has already started, yet once again, no one has contacted me. I have left numerous messages and still have not received a single call back.
You are asking me to send my details again and to contact you directly. This has already been done multiple times. All requested information has been provided before, and I have followed every channel you’ve asked me to use — yet nothing has been resolved. No technician has been sent out, and no one has taken accountability to fix this issue.
At this point, I will not be sending any further messages or repeating the same process again.
I expect a manager to contact me directly and urgently to resolve this matter. This has gone on far too long, and the lack of service and communication is unacceptable — especially while billing continues as normal.
You can contact me on: ***-542
I expect a call before the end of business today.

The account is on the following details.

Thank you for your response, but being “kept informed” via SMS is not a solution.
My children cannot do their schoolwork, and this situation has already gone on far too long. We have been without WiFi for days, and despite all the escalations and “urgent” flags, nothing has actually been resolved.
I have been calling, leaving messages, and following every process you’ve asked — yet no one has contacted me, no technician has been sent out, and my service is still down.
I need this resolved today. Not monitored, not escalated again — resolved.
At this point, I expect:
A confirmed technician appointment for today
Direct contact from a manager taking ownership of this issue
Immediate action to restore my service
Please stop sending updates about escalation and feedback processes. I need a working connection today so my children can continue with their schoolwork.
You can contact me directly on ***-542. I expect urgent feedback and a clear resolution today.

This situation has now gone beyond frustrating — the service I’ve received is completely unacceptable.
Every response I get repeats the same thing: that the issue is being “escalated” and “monitored.” Yet another day has passed with absolutely no feedback, no resolution, and no accountability. Escalations mean nothing if there is no actual action or outcome.
My concern is simple: you have taken payment, but you are not providing the service I am paying for. That is unacceptable.
I have already provided my direct contact number to your consultant this morning and made it clear that I expect to be contacted directly — not my husband. Despite this, I am still being ignored.
Let me be very clear:
I do not want another update about escalation.
I do not want another request for information already provided.
I want a manager to call me directly and take ownership of this matter.
If I do not receive a call and a clear resolution, I will proceed with cancelling my contract with Mweb due to failure to deliver service. I will also be sharing my experience publicly so that others are aware of the level of service being provided.
You can contact me on: ***-542
I expect urgent action.
