Disgusting and unresponsive service from the Live Chate
Since January I have been paying for the router that doesn't work, and their call center and live chats have no responses. I buy the data to accomodate my teenagers so they dont complain about not having wifi.

17 Apr 2026, 11:42Hello Vuyelwa.
We hear your frustration, especially with having ongoing costs while the service is not performing as expected, and limited support response when you’ve needed help. We have arranged for a technical support callback so a specialist can engage with you directly and work through getting your MTN LTE service up and running properly. In the meantime, please see a few key troubleshooting steps below that can help identify and resolve common LTE connectivity issues: Quick troubleshooting steps 1. Restart the LTE router
Switch it off completely, wait 60 seconds, then power it back on.
Why this helps: It refreshes the network connection and forces a new signal registration with the MTN network. 2. Check SIM placement
Ensure the SIM is correctly inserted and fully seated.
Why this helps: A loose or misaligned SIM can prevent the router from registering on the network. 3. Check signal strength
Move the router closer to a window or to a higher position.
Why this helps: LTE performance is highly dependent on signal quality and line-of-sight to the nearest tower. 4. Confirm APN settings
Ensure the APN is set to MTN defaults (usually “internet”).
Why this helps: Incorrect APN settings can block data connectivity even when the signal is present. 5. Test with a direct device connection
Connect one device via WiFi or LAN only.
Why this helps: Helps rule out bandwidth overload or device-related issues. We understand how important reliable connectivity is for your household, especially with multiple users depending on it daily. For further assistance, please share your details via private message so we can escalate this directly and ensure it is resolved without further delay.
Kind regards,
