Disappointed by the poor service, incompetence and lack of ethics and integrity

I joined Mweb on the 28th of March, since then I have not been able to use their service. First there was a miscommunication as to when the service started to be available and the manager's response to my request for proof of their communication was shocking.....she eventually sent proof but her take on it was " what would it matter if they could provide proof or not...I would be liable for the charges to my account either way", this mam is certainly not the way to make your customers feel valued. Then I experienced a technical problem where my devices would connect but shortly after disconnect and to restore the connection I would have to reboot my modem. I spent at least a few hours on the phone over the weekend trying to resolve this, the first person I spoke to said he could see the instability on the line, the next few people I spoke to said the problem was either on my devices or my modem because their side was fine. I then had to borrow a modem from a friend to confirm it was not the modem. Then I got an alternative ISP in to test my line and check that my settings were correct, obviously at a cost. After confirming that the problem was not on my side at a cost and inconvenience to myself, I phoned on the 19th of April to cancel my subscription with Mweb. After explaining the reason for cancellation, the guy at retention's offered to credit me for the service I could not use if I gave them the opportunity to resolve the problem which was now again on the telkom line according to his information. I declined as I seriously doubt they know what they are doing after sending me from pillar to post and back again. So they cancelled my subscription, but despite them not being able to provide the service I signed up for, they charged me pro-rata for March, fully for April and now also a calendar month's notice for May as this is the terms and conditions of their contract. I guess they conveniently choose to ignore the fact that they are in breach of the contract conditions, since they have not been able to provide the service I signed up for. I find it very disappointing that they admit to this and are willing to credit my account for this very reason, but only if I do not cancel my subscription. I have to question what kind of ethics and integrity they do business by. Very disappointing indeed.
