Change of policy without notice.
I have been with MWEB since last year running on a 6-MB uncapped line. Despite their usual poor customer service I let it slide since they are probably the cheapest ISP.

I have always been able to download files via Peer-to-Peer networking. I know MWEB has no official support for P2P and that they do shape P2P during the day, and that was fine.

After being tired of being regularly throttled I decided to get the 10MB line to increase the throttling threshold in May. However I noticed after upgrading to the 10MB line all P2P downloading has been completely disabled, with a constant download speed of 0kbps even though the files are well seeded (over 1,000 seeders).

I then phoned MWEB complaining about this, all three calls gave me a different answer ranging from certain IP ranges are blocked to it being a line fault. After the call has been escalated after the fourth call I phoned again and then was informed that my account only supports P2P from midnight to 06h00 in the morning.

I am just wondering why I wasn't notified about this change, this feels like a breach of contract. However the oligopoly in SA leaves me with no option but to accept this new limitation. Why MWEB, why?
