Can't seem to make up their minds...

I have been pushing to try to get fibre internet service in our suburb for the past year or so. Every service provider that I have contacted has rebuffed us with excuses about the current state of telecommunications or just outright ignored our appeals. So, I decided to try to contact MWEB about this, since they are offering fibre packages on their site now. I received a reply from the company to tell me that it not up to them to decide which areas get fibre service.

Just a couple of years ago, they were advertising that their client base was so large that they could negotiate with Telkom to get lower rental fees for MWEB customers. Now, they tell us that they're not large enough to have enough sway over the infrastructure providers to have any say in which areas were provided with fibre internet.

Why does there seem to be so much so-called "post code **************" going on amongst South Africa's service providers? Just because we're in the Southern Areas, we keep on getting told that we *might* qualify for fibre internet sometime in 2017, but no one can provide any further details on how to expedite this process, apart from filling out the same useless forms that "express our interest".
