Broken promises from Mweb

Poor, poor customer service from Mweb. I have been a client of theirs since 1995 and you would think that they value such long-standing client but no - not even when that client wants to do more business with them!

I called their Sales on Thursday 27th January 2022 and told them that I need a wi-fi set up in my son's new apartment in Stellenbosch, I made it clear that fibre was already installed and all I needed was a router and it to be activated and that I needed it by the 1st February. The agent assured me that it was no problem.

So, much to my surprise, I got a call on the 31st January 2022 from a fibre installer who wanted to make an appointment to install the fibre. Again, I told the installer that the fibre was already there and all I needed was a router and activation. They told me that they would refer it back to Mweb.

I called Mweb again today, being the 1st February 2022, as this was the day we needed the wi-fi activated and told them how urgent it was that we got this done - we are already spending hundreds of Rand on data for my son and the access via the data is very poor and extremely frustrating to work on. I told the lady that we would only be available today to take delivery of the router, as no-one would be at the property from tomorrow during working hours.

She assured me that she would get hold of the couriers and arrange an urgent delivery. It is now 18h40 - no courier delivery and no further updates on my order on their website. How on earth do I now get our new router and wi-fi activated when nobody will be at home? It is insanely poor service from a company that obviously can't keep it's promises yet charge you a fortune.

I now need to review my own wi-fi connection with this company. Why must I continue to give them business when they obviously don't care about their customers needs.

Due to their lack of service, I now have a huge problem in getting my son connection. If anyone can recommend someone who can supply a router and activation after hours, I am happy to consider them!
