Breach of Contract issue against CPA

I have just taken up a offer with FNBconnect which serves my need better than my current uptake of MWEB. I was informed they require a calendar month notice before I can cancel. This is unfair and this is not even a contract I have with Mweb. I am already using my new FNBconnect adsl but now I have to pay another month not even using the product but I have to pay. I think companies get away with ****** and this should be moderated.
