AVG anti virus software crashed my pc

Upon installing the new software for my NEW mweb mobile data contract the anti virus software recommended by mweb (AVG) crashed my laptop. I had previously used a free version of AVAST AV software with no problems. I am now stuck with no computer and no help from mweb. I am very unimpressed as I have a lot of important documents that are going to be lost. On top of everything I am paying for data that I can't use!
