Zero interest in customer retention

On 20 September I app**** for an upgrade on a SME account. I duly completed the forms and awaited confirmation of delivery. I was then told the company failed a CIPC check. I got the latest CIPC certificates and all is in order. Then later I was told the Trans Union check failed. All this was verbal communication, no formal correspondence from Mtn. I then paid for a Trans Union report and lo and behold, all is in order. No amount of phone calls get a reaction from them, the answer is always the same: "the system says...". It looks like if you are not a huge corporate Mtn don't want your business. And guess what, I will humour them.

Reviewer Update

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. Today I took the trouble to visit your service centre in Menlyn. Everything went smoothly until approval for the upgrade had to be obtained. After several attempts by the sales representative, phone calls and emails to her supervisor to obtain approval for the upgrade, I gave up after 45 minutes when no approval was forthcoming. I stand by my earlier statement, you cannot complain MTN's service because there is none.
