Zero compassion, ******* new contracts!
Need to keep this short. I've been with MTN since late 2007. Excluding a financial crisis to which they graciously assisted me when I settled the balance and fought to keep my number, I've for the most part been consistent with my account. Regardless of their constantly worsening contract packages, I've managed to stay within a budget window. I renewed my contract in April with a device, reluctantly being forced into their new pathetic contracts. Who needs 200sms? What good is 300mb on a smartphone? Prior to renewal, I was careful with account, kept it within affordable limits, and took measures to ensure such. Since renewal, still waiting on my ADSL to be moved, I kept regular tabs on my data availibility, and continuously topped up pre-emptively. I have NEVER received notifications of bundles depleted. With a new device, it seems at some point something somewhere synced large amounts of data, forcing me out of bundle and costing me R1295,72 in out of bundle charges. 4 days prior, when I last checked my data balance, I still had data. I could not have anticipated this. My efforts adding bundles, and average spend history should be considered and worthy of some leniency. Not MTN.
