Zero Balance Account / Paid up account letter query
Good day,
I phoned MTN last Monday (19 June 2023) on 083 135 when I learned that I have an outstanding amount on my cancelled wifi router account nr: *** which I cancelled and paid up in November 2022. I had to phone 10 times and was put on hold and cut off without any luck. The last call I made, I got to talk to a lady that said I should pay my outstanding amount of R440 at the nearest MTN store, which I did immediately on the 19th of June and that I would receive my zero balance statement per email within 3 - 5 working days. This was the first word I heard of any outstanding amount owed by me. I still have not received any statement from MTN even after I sent numerous emails to ***.
I am in the process of applying for a home loan at ABSA and can't go on with the process until I receive this zero balance statement, which was paid a week ago in full.
It seems as though nobody is willing to assist with this very urgent request although I did everything in my power to contact MTN and request the zero balance statement.
The phone calls alone I made to MTN cost more than R500 and still I have no answer to forward to ABSA.
I am very disappointed in the very poor service from MTN help desk and will never take out a contract at them again.
Is there anyone in MTN who can assist me very urgently with this query? Can I please urgently request a PAID UP LETTER or ZERO BALANCE STATEMENT for my cancelled and paid up Wifi router contract for the number ***?
Regards,
Karin Mattioli
