You gave away my number while telling me to wait, now ignore my messages

Please have someone from corporate reach out to me. +1 ********** or ********** I have filed complaints with hellopeter, facebook, and contacted MTN directly over 6 times. I have received no responses of value. You gave away my number ********** without sms-ing me, then while the number was in limbo you told me I could SIM swap it, then gave it away while my queries were being ignored. Someone owes me some answers.

I just want to clarify. I had the number for over 2 years, and was simply traveling abroad. 90 days into my trip I received an sms that I needed some activity, so I moved some airtime and made a call. 90 days later my SIM card stopped working, so I contacted MTN directly. I received no warning SMS that my number was at risk. Your customer service rep INCORRECTLY told me there was nothing they could do. It was incorrect advice because the number had not been re-assigned, it had merely had the SIM deactivated. This was on July 16. I confirmed with MTN that they could save my number and was told to wait. On July 21 I was told that they gave away my number anyway and that was it. I was promised a phone call or an email and received neither. I received no response to my last hellopeter, and your facebook people stopped responded months ago. I don't know why you're treating me so poorly when this is 100% your mistake, and I have the emails and reference numbers that prove it. Your reps have confirmed that my number could have been returned on July 16, yet no one wants to explain why it wasn't returned.

Congratulations on losing a customer Alive van der Merwe. Your terrible reading comprehension s****s and inability to respond to my straightforward email have left me no choice. My whole company will be switching cellphone providers thanks to you!

That says something equivalent to "terrible reading comprehension abilities" but they used asterisks. I thought you should know because it's an embarrassment for our education system that you thought your response responded to anything in my complaint.

Since I'm worried that you lack the mental capabilities to understand, let me try again: You deactivated a SIM card without sending an SMS warning about the 90 day rule. With no notice, there was no way I could know the SIM card was going to be deactivated. I contacted MTN after the SIM card was shut off, but before it was reassigned. You reps confirmed this. They told me I could SIM swap it, but then refused to help my sister because she is black and has a different surname from me, a white male. I contacted MTN about this (over email) and was told my number could be saved and wait for feedback from tech support. While I was waiting the number went from "unassigned" to "recycled." So you gave away a number that you promised you were going to restore to me. Now you tell me to call 173, but you know I'm outside the country and you know I don't have a working SIM card. So how the hell am I supposed to call 173? I also know that there's nothing you can do to fix this now, so I'm only interested in what you plan to do to make it better? Will corporate try to get my number back? Will they send me a new SIM card in the USA to apologize for their mistake? Will try turn my SIM card back on with a new number? You company ****ed up terribly here and hurt a charity in the process. All I'm looking for is accountability.
