Yet again, shocking service

I depleted my monthly data package and found it impossible to purchase a further package online due to an error code pertaining to a SUL. Tried contacting MTN several times. First the call centre agents hang up on you without answering, then they ignore your email requests to sort the issue out. All this means that I'm forced to now incur excessive out of bundle rates for data. Seriously MTN.....? Do you train your agents to be obstructive so that you can profit from the consumer paying out of bundle rates???

Good Day,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. All our consultants are trained to offer the very best of customer service, it is really disappointing for us to know about your experience with our Call Centre. The kind of service you received is definitely not how MTN does business.

Kindly note that your Usage Limit and your the Subscriber Max Allowed Limit (SPUL ) are currently on R 100 which has been reached. This means that you are unable to buy a data bundle or use more than R100 on your out of bundle usage. To increase these limits please contact our Customer Care on 808 or email us on ***.

Rest assured that it is not our intention to displease you and we look forward to continue improving on our service delivery to you.

Kind Regards
Complaints Management Team
Itumeleng

Best regards,

Itumeleng, with all due respect, I have tried the call centre and am in no mood to attempt to deal with your agents further. I have also emailed customer care and that fell short of service too. If you're really serious about customer service then I would start by looking into why my multiple emails were ignored. You can use the following as reference:

By the way....I'd also like to know what you plan on doing around the charges I've been forced to incur on out of bundle rates given that I proactively tried - multiple times - to purchase additional data bundles before my contract data was fully depleted. I really do not see it as my fault that I was not able to purchase additional (and sufficient) data.
