Yet again, MTN and their incompetence

After a terrible service from MTN Centurion Mall regarding my contract, I decided to cancel my contract and rather use Pay as You Go. So I contact the MTN Customer Care via email, explain my decision ask for cancellation and ask what is the procedure in retaining my number for pay as you go. I get told my Xolani Mkhize that I need to apply for it after my contract is finished (this is end of Jan). I wait patiently for my last day, 15 April 2015, my phone is cut off at 8am, I sent an email immediately that morning to Xolani at Customer Care, copying all my previous email and asking to now do the migration. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. On Saturday, 18 April I go to MTN Centurion Mall to ask what I can do, I show them my email with MTN. Lo and behold MTN deleted me off the network completely. Lady at the MTN Centurion called the call centre, was on hold for 45 minutes (this is THEIR company that is leaving her holding), she herself got no help and on top of it they denied getting my mail (which was on my phone!!!!). I am still waiting but have been told by many people I am wasting my time waiting for any competence from MTN. I just really wanted my number back :(
