Wrong device delivered, but they expect payment. Constant harassment over more than a year.

It's a Saturday, I just put the kids to sleep and I'm trying to take a nap, just to be woken up by a third party vendor that wants to call me about an outstanding amount owed to MTN.

Background: I ordered a sim+phone contract online but the wrong phone was delivered. I tried calling MTN, BUT YOU CAN'T REACH THEM FROM A NON MTN NUMBER!!!!!!! They had the audacity to tell me to activate my contract to, so that I can get support. So you want me to start the contract anf bill me, but I don't have a phone I can use? I mailed them for weeks - only to respond more than a month later with no action.

After more than 3 months (they managed to send a invoice from the first month but can't manage any form of support), I walked into a MTN store and took photos of me handing in the phone and sim in their packaging.

Also, every MTN store is a franchise. SO THEY CAN'T PROVIDE SUPPORT EITHER. Somehow, the can sell you new contracts though....

MTN, you're a joke and I will never use your service. I've also managed to cancel all my family members contracrs and replaced them with VC or Cell C contracts that I pay for - JUST SO THAT THEY DON'T USE MTN.
