WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER

Last year I noticed that my provision did not load which were to my knowledge 100 minutes, 500 Mb and 25 Sms's. I contacted 808 numerous times and was told it will still load. I told them that if it doesn't load that I'm not going to continue to pay as its in direct conflict of the customer protection act to pay for a service that is not being delivered. By the next month is still didn't load and I noticed that the next months provision also didn't load. I phoned again and again and then followed through as promised that I will not pay until my line has been sorted. For 7 months all my attempts to reach MTN failed. I went into the MTN outlets and got told the only way to sort it out was to call 808. I told them that 808 doesn't work as every time that I phone and put in my contract nr that it says that the number doesn't exist on a contract. I have written numerous unanswered Hello peter reports, I have been on hold so many times for hours by calling 173 to try and get help. All failed. I have written complaints on Facebook with automated responses received and nothing happens after that. For 7 months and still in counting I couldn't use MTN. I have recorded phone call after phone call to prove all of this. I even had to buy another MTN simcard just for the purpose to try and contact MTN as calling from other networks became too costly
Then 10 March 2017 I was a victim of a ******* and my phone got ******. I tried to blacklist the phone with MTN and to my shock I was told that I cannot blacklist the phone as I need to pay my account in full first. I spoke to managers as well at 173. Same answers. Recordings are also available. I then asked them to put my through to another manager who then put my through after my request to 808. As 808 almost never picks up and the phone disconnects. After numerous of these attempts by phoning 173 and choosing the lost and ****** phone option and speaking to an agent and then requesting after having to explain myself to be able to speak to a manager, I spoke to a manager. He then phoned and put my directly in contact with an agent at the contract cancellation departments. This after more than 2 hours of effort. Phone calls were recorded to prove this efforts. After having to explain the story again I insisted to speak to a manager at their department being contract cancellations.
I explained the whole situation to him and he apologized and told my account was currently on R3500 and that he will investigate and provide my with urgent feedback along with numerous other promised. I got a reverence number for the call before the call was ended (Ref ********** 41) I was also that I would be fully
refunded but he just needed to investigate how. I requested a contact number and I was told that he does not have one and I need to do the whole process again to get in touch with him! Not even 2 hours later after this I received a very concerning and harassing email from "Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates". Not only did this "manager" report me to their dept collectors but not the debt collectors **********ly insist and claim that I owe them over R8000!WOW what a way to treat your customer since 2010! Not only were this same company according to the internet involved in ***** regarding the SABC TV licensing fees collections without the SABC having any knowledge of them, but also from what I have read that they scare people like they did me by threatening to blacklist and to take your stuff and scared them to pay ridiculous amounts. This company confirmed that this was only the amount I needed to pay to get my account up to date. I have spoken to my lawyer regarding this. He confirmed that since MTN confirmed on recording that my account is with them and that this is how the case stands that I can open a case for *****, Harassment and ************ against MTN! He also advised to open a case at the customer protection act.
Finally on the 15th of March 2017 I literally had enough. I tried to phone again to find out if I can go see someone at the closest head office being 14th Avenue. Keep in mind I stay on the other side of Springs so that's almost 120km. Again following the same procedure to speak to someone. I decided to ask my friend to take me. I kept the phone call live during this and we started driving while is was on hold. 120km later and far more that and hours later I got to your head Office. STILL ON HOLD! Not only do I discover that there is a lady with I similar complaint but I again got reminded of the poor service at MTN. Finally Someone from the legal department came to fetch me. As she came Patience from MTN finally decided to answer my call that was on hold. I showed the consultant and she talked to her and told her she's on her way.
I then met with Riedwaan and explained to him as I explained to the consultant from legal who called him. I was told that my provisions will be deducted and that I can cancel my contract. He asked my for my ref nr from the call I had with the manager who promised me the world. To my shock I was told that this was infract not even a manager but a normal consultant! I have this on recording. MTN yet again lies to their customers.
He then called Kevin Steenkamp. Again i explained everything. I was advised that he would knock off another R900 from the outstanding amount but he needs a letter. Hence why I'm writing this letter.
I am really disappointed in MTN. a Loyal contract customer for almost 7 years and I get thanked with lies, *****, harassment, non service delivery. I have been a victim of ******* and MTN still puts me though all of this. I am sick to the stomach. I'm still recovering from the *******. And yet my phone is still not blacklisted as the phone that came with the contract is a Note 4 and I don't have the IME number. The police can't even open a case for my phone to blacklist it as MTN refuses to give it to my until my account is up to date. And to top it all off this number was my other source of income for contract work. So I have infract suffered there as well financially due to MTN.
