Worst Service from a network provider

My spare cellphone was stollen 2 months ago and I am trying to do a sim swop which is a total nightmare. I called the customer care and the lady was very rude she said she cant find any details on the old number and I must get an avidavit then email it through, she gave me a fax number that has been changed. I called back and got another fax number and an email as who ever uses faxes these days when emails are easier. Its been 3 days and no response so I called in again and the lady says because I sent a please call me from the new number I cant complete the process of the sim swop which I was not aware off. Then she tells me go to my nearest MTN store and they will help me, I go there a few minutes ago and the gentleman mentions beacuse they a franchise store they cant help me I must go to gateway. WHAT ****? do you think I will even want to stay on this network! Extremely poor service and staff dont know what they doing. All I am asking for is my number back , do I need to go to mars and back

Good day Vinay,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and affording us the opportunity to address them. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
It is only through these concerns being brought to our attention that we can identify and address areas that need our urgent attention. Please note that these are the steps to follwo when performing a sim swap:
1. Buy an MTN PayAsYouGo starter pack.
2. Please RICA the new SIM card before continuing.
3. Insert the new SIM into your current (or new) device. On older SIM cards, if prompted with a menu on first power up of your device, select “Get a new number” (ignore any other options)
4. Activate the new SIM card on the MTN network by dialling *141#.
From the above steps you can then email me( *** ) the number you want back plus the "new number" you received on step 3 above as well as the answers to these 3 questions (for security reasons) and I will assist with the sim swap.
SECURITY QUESTIONS:
- What your 3 most dialled numbers?
- When was your last recharge and for how much?
- What price plan were you on? (Pay per second. MTN Base. MTN Zone etc)
Kind Regards,
Tshepo M

Best regards,
Dear Mt Tshepo
You reply 1 week later and no call to assist to rectify the problem. Your response does not address my problem and offers no solution. You have used a general response method which I have viewed on my cell phone already. DID YOU EVEN READ MY COMPLAINT???? This complaint will follow my face book posts
