Worst service at MTN
2of my contracts end on 4 January 2022. I went to the Clearwater MTN Branch ( next to pick and pay)to enquire about canceling the contracts when they ended and also to possibly gt a new contract for my business number and an upgrade. The gentleman at the store advised me to call 135 for cancellations and that I will have to put a notice to cancel. I did call and i asked to put a notice to cancel and the lady advised me of MYchoice Zero which will be the best option as I do not want to take any more contracts on those 2 specific contracts. Little did I know that she cancelled my contracts on the day and which was 6 December 2021. That means that MTN charged me cancellation fees for both the contracts. I have tried numerous times to resolve this matter and Thabang in retentions had promised that this issue is resolved. I have 4 reference numbers from the calls I made with Zimbili in the cancellations departments telling me that there is no reference number for the call. So, I am liable for cancellation fees and the inconvenience of my parents not being able to use their phones. Why would I cancel a contract that ends 4 January on 6 December ??? I have been with MTN for over 10 years and have never missed a debit order payment. @Telkom, @Cell C, and @ Vodacom, I need two new contracts.
