Good Day Miss Laurien Lawrence,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and for the kind of service you received from our Fourways Store. Our records shows that indeed the Usage Limit was never set upon upgrade hence it was on R2,393. We have also noticed that you decreased the limit from R1,000 to R800 on the 03 October 2016 and again from R800 to R765. Your Usage limit was only set to R0.00 on the 10 October 2016.

Kindly note that a request has been sent to the Fourways store as per your request to our Customer Care team.

Be advise that all MTN's consultants are trained to offer the very best of customer service and it is very disappointing for us to hear about the service you received from the Fourways branch, please know that this is not how MTN does business. MTN values you and your business with us.

Rest assured that it is not our intention to displease you and we look forward to continue improving on our service delivery to you.

Kind Regards,
Itumeleng

Reviewer Update

After almost 2 months of complaining about the same thing, I finally get confirmation that I'm not losing my mind

I emailed Lerato, customer service & retentions the below:

Hi Lerato,

I want to know if there was any limit set on the 20th April when I did my contract.

I find it difficult to understand what exactly is going on here

In April when I upgraded my account I asked for the contract to be “Top Up “ and for it NOT to be an open account

Please can I have verification/ proof that it was done as requested???

The only thing this email shows me was me lowering the limit

There’s a reference number here that says it was set to zero but when I call there is no proof showing that it was in fact set to zero as I requested when signing this contract- in fact the MTN system clearly states it was not set to zero until October

I call 808 once again now & Portia assisted me, she says that when my contract was upgraded, instead of zero, as I requested numerous times, it was actually set to R2393, until I decreased it after receiving the sms in October

Ref: ********** 66

And this was her response!!!

Good day

Please read your previous email where I gave you the reference number for the usage limit being set.

Regards

Lerato Masilo

It is a blatant LIE to tell me the usage limit was set to zero and then to still speak to me as though I am illiterate after saying the MTN sysytem says it wasn't

How is she & her team going to be repremanded for this? And how many other clients have been treated this way???

Totally unacceptable!

Now, how is this going to be resolved?
