Worst IVR and slowest delivery
I have an MTN SIM in my router, so when I have to call the call centre, I can't make a free call to the call centre. Instead, I have to call the number (083 135) that costs money. What does MTN do, they advertise for two whole minutes about products and services for Unisa students before I even hear the menu options. I am calling the number that is not free – why am I using up my precious minutes listening to an ad for students?
Once I was finally done listening to an ad that has nothing to do with me, I had to type in the cell number only for it to say that I had typed in an incorrect number. I was sure I typed it in correctly – I can see the numbers on my screen – the problem was that it didn't give me an option to go back to the main menu or anything, so I was forced to hang up. So, what did I have to do? I had to call again and listen to the same two-minute ad.
When I finally got to a person that I could actually talk to, they redirected me to another person, except I was put on hold. After 20 minutes, I gave up. These multiple calls I had to make were all because I just want to know where is the product I ordered a week ago. We ordered a router from Rain and it came the next day (they even gave us a tracking number).
Please, MTN, sort out your call centre IVR – give me an option to talk to someone off the bat and please stop wasting my money making me listen to an ad that has nothing to do with me. And please could you tell me where my product is?
