Worst experience- MTN deducting money after cancellation

MTN is still deducting money out of my account after contract ended and a call to cancel. I called in before the contract end date of the 20th of Aug 2016 to tell them I will not renew my contract and they have to cancel it. For some reason money is still deducted. I called MTN to query the deduction. They told me that I had to call a day after the 20th of Aug to cancel the contract and not prior. This was not communicated to me when I called initially. And I still have to pay in Nov as well because I only made the call today and not the 20th. How is this customer friendly or even Treating customers fairly? When I asked for explainations the consultant hid behind MTN processes and contracts. I know it's not the consultant. What shocks me is that I have been a loyal customer and this is the treatment loyal customers get. I asked for a refund, it was refused. I am so angry as they took my last money. I still want my refund and I want nothing to do with MTN going forward. The worst service and treatment of a loyal customer.
