WORST experience EVER

<p>I've put in an insurance claim with MTN on 14 November 2016, to date I still do not have a handset. I was then infromed that MTN has outsourced their insurance administrators. I called them weekly, and everytime I called the call agent couldn't track my phone.</p> <p>I then escalted this matter via Twitter and I was contacted by a "manager" after several attempts to get hold of them. The manager assured me the claim was approved on 20.01.2017, I paid excess same day 20.01.2017. I received confirmation that the excess was received on 23.01.2017 and that the quotation for repairs was approved. The manager assured me it will take 48 hours and I will receive my handset.</p> <p>I have furthermore requested MTN to cancel my contract and today I wake up to a debit from them.</p> <p>Today I called to follow up, the agent said my phone was "BR" beyond repair and I need to pay an extra R50 because they need to get me a new phone. Furthermore they have asked me to provide with the cellphone details that are on the box, for a phone I purchased in 2014. I have been without a cellphone for over 3 months, all I am asking is MTN to send a voucher so I can get a new phone and continue with life.</p> <p> </p>
