Worst customer service by MTN

<p>I have a contract with mtn that was due to expire on the 27th of November 2016. Before I made a request for the contract to be cancelled I asked how much money was outstanding and I was told it's R498 and I then paid R500 which means the account was fully paid .and then when I called requesting for the contract to be cancelled now that it had expired I was told my account is with legal department within MTN (I had phoned 083808) i was then given a number for retentions which is ********** 062 where I was then referred to the legal department . In the meantime a consultant said she would send a request to legal department to remove my account there as it wa fully paid , until today that consultant has never gotten back to me . In January I then took an initiative to call MTN legal the consultant there said he closed the account and that he would send me a confirmation until today I have not received that confirmation. AgAin this morning I phoned MTN only to learn that the line is still open and that infact they are billing me for a SIM card that is not even in use..currently the balance is R124. This is very infuriating .MTN consultants have failed me big time and I recommend that this be resolved as soon as possible and this R124 must be reversed on my mtn account because it was billed after having fully paid my account and after I requested the account to be closed </p> <p> </p> <p>the number in question is ********** 688</p>
