Worst customer service and *********** staff in telecom

Good Day My Account is currently Suspended and still being charged for service (Contract) I cannot use and have cancelled in July 2016. This is *******.. I have contacted Mtn several time , where they blaming me. I have waited the 24 months before canceling the contract , as I wanted todo this in mrt 2016 already and notified Mtn that I will be canceling July 2016 per telephone. When I upgraded my account to Anytime 500 , I specifically requested that they put a limit om my account, so that I do not get any nasty surprises on my bill like in the past that was billed for data . Meaning if my free minutes is finish I cannot call anymore or have any data charges to my account. ( THIS WAS NEVER DONE !!! ) I then removed the MTN APN from my Phone , as I am on Wifi at Home and Work 24/7 and used APN provided by Afrihost R99 for 2Gig a month. ( MTN Still charged me for data , never the less my account limit must have blocked this from happening) 2 months before the contract expired in July 2016 , I decided to move to Pay as you go when the contract Expired , as I don’t not want to pay cancellation fee for early cancellation , I phoned and notified MTN in Advance that I will pay the final bill in July 2016 and the contract will not be renewed In July 2016 I have requested that , they moved (downgraded ) my account to Pay as You go. I was cutting back cost as I can’t afford the contract anymore.( THIS WAS NEVER DONE. HOW CAN YOU FORCE ME TO STAY IN CONTRACT I CAN NOT PAY ANYMORE) The outstanding amount for this now in 2017 is R 7,232.14 . How can they hold me responsible , If they have not setup a limit on my account as requested from the start. Sure this is why u have customer service department ?? I agree to pay the outstanding amount up and till July 2016 , after I have cancelled the contract for financial reasons. Regards P Blignaut
