WILL NEVER SIGN UP FOR A MTN CONTRACT EVER!!

Struggled to cancel my contracts with MTN and it was a never ending story trying to get through the "135" customer service line. The amount of agents I have spoken to in the last 2 months, hours on end just trying to get through to an agent to resolve the issue, then the CALL GETS CUT AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE SYSTEM IS ALWAYS SLOW AND I CANT TALK TO A MANAGER DIRECTLY FOR SOME ODD REASON!!

Overpromise and underdeliver is the type of service you will get from MTN!

NO ONE COULD ASSIST ME IN STORE WITH THE CANCELLATIONS!! As they do not have a Cancelations department! Only on the 135 line which is absolutely ridiculous!!

I originally wanted to cancel 2 of my contracts with MTN. The consultant Rahul Singh offered me a courtesy Zero package to receive 2GB of data for the next 6 months AT NO CHARGE hence the reason as they do not want to lose me as a client should I decide to sign up for a contract in the near future; the consultant Rahul Singh had clearly reassured me that it is for FREE with no hidden costs!

Long story short: I decided to renew one contract and cancel the other however it was always a mission to finalize the process as their system is always slow; in which the renewal of the one contract never got finalized.

The courtesy package started billing me on both numbers I have with MTN in which I had discovered after receiving an email from MTN..

Once again countless of frustrating 135 calls to customer service to get through to my original consultant trying to finalize this issue; I am told it will be sorted out and credited off my account! The consultant had reassured me that the manager will credit it as soon as possible and he is aware of it. Next thing I know surprise surprise a debit order goes off my bank account!!

I have a paper trail via email; no one from MTN has responded to any of my emails and apparently Rahul Singh is no longer with the company. I had reported this issue to ICASA, I'm informed it is nothing to do with them but with MTN.

Since that I didn't receive my refund, I disputed and stopped the debit order that had gone through and stopped future debit orders going forward with MTN after I had finally managed to cancel both my contracts with MTN a few weeks ago.

NOW... They want to report me to the credit bureau as I apparently owe them money for these courtesy zero packages of free data in which was offered to me for FREE.

Don't ever accept anything for FREE from MTN!

WILL NEVER SIGN UP FOR A MTN CONTRACT EVER!! First and Last Time!!
