Why am I billed for a contract I cancelled?

I cancelled my contract and was ensured that there will be no debit order and I repeated the question and was ensure that that would be the case and on top of that MTN took my R160 airtime which I paid for but I didn't complain because all I wanted was just to cancel the contract because anyway in my area Internet connection is poor and when I reported it this no one cared to assist me but now they run to debit my account. Please bring back my money.

When I call the 808 number I cannot make an inquiry because my Sim is not on contact anymore but you have the nerve to de4bit my account???

Super frustrated with MTN

Hello Aletheandubz,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and for the

We've perused your account and see that you called on the 23rd of June 2015 to get your number migrated over to prepaid. Your billing date was the 13th of every month, so the invoice dated the 13th of June 2015 is a valid invoice that is payable as soon as possible as it is now in arrears after you've returned the debit through your bank.

There will be no further invoices generated so the debit for the 30th of June 2015 was the last debit to go off your account.

Once again we do apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Regards
Tim
