What customer service from MTN South Africa.

Dear MTN You are full of nothing but endless disappointment and *****ing my money every month. My contract with you ended a good two years, since then I have paid R250 for 100mins of airtime and 500MB of data. For well over a year I receive calls on a regular basis from MTN telling me that I am being overcharged and they want to setup a new contract where I can pay as little as R99 each month. On the 24th October 2022 I called to cancel the contract and received notification that the contract will be cancelled on 24.10.2022. Fast forward where MTN continues to take my money and over charge me by your own admission. Seeing that MTN doesn't want to cancel the contract I go to try and upgrade the phone and contract, where I am told that I can't. 4th February 2023. Monday I phoned the call centre and they reactivated the line after they still haven't attended to the request in October 2022. The line is reactivated and 10th February 2023 I go to get the upgrade, the process is then paused and comes back with the condition that I can take the package that is reduced by R400.00 because MTN does not think I am worth the requested credit. I cancelled the request immediately and went to the MTN store, here I requested that the R250 that I am currently paying gets reduced to R99 for the next 24 months..... MTN then immediately flags the request and says that I cannot change and have to wait for them to come back with their conditions.

MTN you are absolutely useless and your call centre is useless as well I have spent hours on the phone last weekend and I requested managers or supervisors to call me and here I am still waiting. I want the month to month contract that you are overcharging me for by your own admission cancelled. I want the number to remain mine and I will go to pay as you go. Oh and let’s not forget, for the past 15 years I have paid MTN on time every month and never have I missed a payment.
