We have been to the Cradock store on numerous occasions because of all the problems, but onfortunately we could never get any feedback in writing.
As the treasurer of the church in cradock, I was tasked to open a contract for a phone as well as data with MTN. This was done in Feb 2018.
We had numerous problems with the account with MTN deducting more than double the contract amount with no invoice available and the assurance that the account would be rectified. Eventually, after three months I was told to reverse the last payment and that the church would be credited with the overcharged amount after which deductions would resume.
Now, after almost 16 months, the phone and data is suspended. After enquiry at the Cradock MTN store, we discovered that a third phone (a ********** phone which is not the phone of the Church) is on the account which axplains the overcharging. I was then told to hand in a affidavit because there is a investigation underway which I then did.
In trying to unblock the phone, I spoke to MTN customer care who said we must first pay the arrears, (the ********** phone as well) before they can unsuspend the phone or they are not prepared to speak to me. I can also speak to legal department. They to are not prepared to listen and refered me back to customer care. Does MTN think that their customers have nothing to do all day and can listen to their recordings and music?
To make matters worse, I saw a copy of my affidavit where my particulars are changed which is a very cerioos matter. Does ***** never stop?
Until today we still can not get a invoice and we are not prepared to pay the thousands of rand for a phone that does not belong to us.
If NTN does not resolve the matter there is no other option but to terminate the contract on matter what.
Hope to get a response soon
