WATS APP **** by MTN emploee

This morning my nephew's wats app was hacked. Messages were sent to his contacts requesting wallet or cash send. Many family members sent monies being concerned for him. He went to MTN Galleria branch and found and was told that this was an inside job..and employee most likely. How is this going to be resolved and what measures are going to be taken. We definitely need constructive action
