Waterproof but no repair

I sent my daughter's Sony Xperia Z5 phone for repairs to Mtn. It was approximately 3 months after I received the phone. The phone was repaired, but within a month had the exact same problem. I returned the phone. This time, however, Mtn sent the phone back and told me that it was water damaged and consequently not under guarantee anymore. Keep in mind that previously Mtn did repair the phone with regards to exactly the same issue. I explained to the assistent at Mtn Menlyn Maine that the Sony Xperia Z5 is IP 68 certified water resistant and that it cannot be rejected as a result of alleged water damage. He agreed and again returned the phone to the repair centre. A week or so later Mtn returned the phone again. Not repaired due to the so-called water damage. This phone is being adverstised by Mtn as being water resistant. One wonders how it is rejected on the basis of "not being waterproof???". My monthly bill varies between R2300 - R3000 per month. Guess who will be migrating to another service provider!!! Poor service!!
