WASTED MY WHOLE MONDAY
********** after sales service. Firstly we signed a 24 month contracts. 12 months after the contract expired they were still debiting the account. No restructuring. If I've paid off my cellphone why were MTN still depositing my account the full amount.
Went to the physical store to check on of our accounts only to discover an upgrade we had taken through Y'ello ( Telephonic sales team ). When they first contacted me about a deal R100 a month for 40gb a month sim only and R50/pm for a Wi-Fi router. I felt like the deal was too good to be true. Stalled over taking this upgrade deal for a couple weeks. Finally after a couple weeks we committed to the upgrade and was assured continually that the deal stands as is. Now referring back to my store visit I discovered that we have been paying R251/pm for that same contract they promised me would be only R150/pm.
Tried cancelling the expired contracts the whole of yesterday. Spoke to several members of MTN retentions such as Randel and Shanka. Shanka just cut me off after i had been on-hold for close to 30 minutes. Randel on the other hand was extremely rude and i only had to speak to this person because apparently my contract had a service called dual-call . Randel then goes on to tell me he has canceled our contract and everything has been sorted. Come today we give mtn another call and they seem to be unaware that their staff claimed to have canceled the contract. Today at least was a better experience with staff confirming my account will be deactivated. Reception is good overall I'm moving to pre-paid. Do not recommend purchasing a contract. Personally feel like its one star too many.
