Warranty Rejection complaint

I sent my iphone 6s to MTN Newtown as the phone had difficulties charging. I was informed that the phone would be taken for assessment and would possibly receive a new phone as it is under warranty. I was advised to contact MTN HVR after three weeks and I did just that and to my surprise I was informed that my phone had "liquid damage" and therefore the warranty was rejected. It’s been over 5 weeks now and I was charged over R700 by MTN so I called MTN Newtown to enquire about my phone and the breakdown of the R700. I was informed that they do not have my phone and I was advised to call MTN HVR.I called MTN HVR and was informed my phone was delivered to the wrong store. I finally got my phone and there were no pictures to supporting their conclusion whatsoever. My phone still doesn't charge and I was told that they assume its sweat.

What actions can I take?

is this the story that they normally tell their clients?

How do I prove that there is no water damage on my phone?

Will I be reimbursed for all the charges that I do not know of?

Is it advisable to cancel the contract with MTN?
