Warranty issue.
I am absolutely disgusted with the terrible service and attitude that I am receiving from MTN . I have purchased a Samsung S6 edge with Mtn direct in Feb 2017.
I now have a problem with the LCD and have taken it to a Samsung repair center(SSS cellular) with my proof of purchase documents which state “please retain this invoice for warranty purposes”
This document has all the information except for an IMEI number.
I was told that no repair can be done without the IMEI number on the proof of purchase and that I should contact Mtn for this information. I thought this will be a simple process, but let me tell you, it is absolutely frustrating.
A general report on consultants I have dealt with is disgusting. They have terrible attitudes and talk to us like we are of no value. I wish I could get their names , but they always dropping the calls on me.
MTN will never achieve customer excellence if people like these are employed. It is absolutely disgusting They are telling me to go to RTT(who only delivered my phone) to get this info. Another agent told me to go to the head office and get assistance.
I then went to a branch, and they tried all they could by getting hold of the warehousing department but no success. They said some POS 360 is discontinued so the info is unavailable.
So besides the bad service and shocking attitude received over the phone from MTN consultants , nobody can provide me with this proof of purchase with an IMEI number, so my phone is under warranty and there is nothing I can do.( this is disturbing)
In simple words MTN has told me “ It’s your problem , deal with it , we cannot do anything for you”.
I have been a customer with MTN for years and feel so disappointed by the service levels received from MTN.
All I am asking for is a proof of purchase with the IMEI number so I can get my phone repaired and make use of the “warranty”
I hope this can be escalated and I am able to receive my details for my warranty.
