Warranty Assessment Disaster!

I got my Iphone 6s Plus on the 10th of Decemeber 2015 and I returned it a week later after noticing that there is a backlight defect on the top of the screen which I did research on myself and some people do have the same problem throughout the world. Nevermind that, I was told that the phone did not qualify for OBF because the day I took out the phone even though it was 5 pm that day counted as a day. I went to MTN store a day earlier but they were closed on the 16th of December. So what can I do!

On the 17th of December I was told that the phone can only be assessed after the 22nd of December since the MTN repair centre in Midrand has a stock take. I called on the 28th of December only to find out that the couriers collected the wrong phone from the MTN store, so they had to courier the wrong phone back and collect my phone. Such incompetence!!!

I was told by Ms.Phalatse that I will get feedback latest by Thursday last week and I still have not got any feedback yet. I last had my phone a month ago and the phone has not even been booked in on the system let alone been assessed for warranty. If everything is not sorted this week I am going to seek legal action in terms of the CPA

Hello YisenHsieh,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.

Kindly be advised that the warranty assessment was declined due to the handset having scratches and dents. The handset will be dispatched from the Repair Centre at close of business today.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards,
Ayanda
