Warning: Poor Service and Unfair Billing from MTN

I would strongly advise against using MTN for any service. Not only do you not receive the full quality of what you are promised, but you are still charged the full fee. Even worse, if MTN cancels your service because they cannot or will not fix the problem, they still attempt to charge you a cancellation fee — despite being the ones who terminated the contract.

We signed up for their home internet service and had it for only a few weeks. MTN promised 5G connectivity (and we live in a 5G area), yet we never received it. On top of that, the connection constantly dropped — one moment connected, the next moment no internet at all — and this happened multiple times a day. When we reported the issue, MTN admitted they had no intention of resolving it and sent us a letter confirming the cancellation of our service.

Two months later, we received a bill demanding that we pay a cancellation fee for a service they themselves canceled.

After this experience, I will never do business with MTN again.
