Want to keep your number on a new MTN contract?

I opened a contract with a new phone in June (online I should say- as I was later informed in store that "if I wanted to keep my current number on the new contract, I should have done the contract in store")

I have since been trying to convert my old number to my new contract, without success, even though I was partially assisted to convert my old number to a prepaid MTN sim so that from there it would be converted (as assisted by a random number I received in store- thus , not on the website or call center! What is the point?)

In the meantime I have called and emailed and the process is still not complete! Now I have to use the prepaid sim separately in order to keep my number- and thus losing out on my contract that I pay a lot of money for!

Conclusion

If you want to keep your number from MTN or another service provider, do your contract in store! Or just don't go to MTN!
