Waiting for phone when they know it is urgent.

I app**** for an additional contract due to my previous phone being damaged. I told the person responsible that I need the phone as soon as possible as I have to use it for work. The phone is in stock but they do not have the correct size sim cards. I arranged to buy an sim adapter which is an expense I occurred on my own as I need the phone urgently. I was advised that the credit check would be done first thing the next day and then I can come and collect my phone. The also said that they would send me a confirmation message when I can come and collect it. I went back the next day and the sim was not registered according to them and I will not be able to receive the phone. Another day has passed and I still haven't heard anything from them. I tried to call as I already went to the shop twice. The phone number doesn't work. I need the phone and even bought my own adapter. It would be nice if I can get progress on the phone or cancel the order and take my business somewhere else.
