VICTIM of MTN Telemarketing

At the end 2022 and MTN phonetrader called me trying to sell me a WiFi Rooter. After giving me alot of information I said I would like an email with ALL the information to just read-up on the products. She informed me that she will send me the information after I have given her myne, I said multiple times on the call I want to information before I can confirm that I will be taking the product she reassured me that I would have to sign a contract before it will be offical so I can look over the information before I make my final decision.

A week later I reserved a package, and no email from MTN with the information, that I asked for. I returned the package to my nearest MTN store which is in Mosselbay, Heiderand Mall.

A month later a debit-order went off. I phone the MTN costume-serve line and after hours of being on the phone they reassured me the matter was resolved. They confirmed that the package was back in storage and that they canceled the contract, the same contract I never confirmed that I wanted.

Almost 2 year later a Debt-Collector called me and said I owe MTN money, I explain the whole story to her and she said she is sorry about it and ended the call.

A month later I received an email with a invoice from Vericred saying I owe rufly R5440 to MTN. I phoned the company after being transferred twice. I told the lady the whole story and at the end she said that the ref. number I gave her (the one on the invoice) did not correspond with my ID nr although it was my ID on the invoice. She said that she will talk to her supervisor and get back to me more then a 2 week has past now and I still haven't heard anything back.

3 Days after I called Vericred I emailed MTN and Vericred with the same message that is above and the only response I got was the automatic response it has been more then 10 Days now.

I NEVER confirmed that I wanted the product, I even returned it when it was send to me wrongfully. I NEVER signed a contract saying I wanted the product nor did use it.

I am the VICTIM. I did everything I could and yet 2 year later I'm being accused of a crime I did not commit.

I will no longer be accepting a call from MTN or Vericred, I want a written apology for the trauma and lies they have put me through!
