Very poor service from MTN re lost data for no reason

I have a 4GBs bundle per month with MTN which corresponds to 2Gbs daily usage and 2 GBs night express. This contract has now lasted for about 2 years and on the 12th of every month at midnight whatever data left from the month before expires and the 4GBs are renewed. Nov. 11th when I last checked my data I had 710MBs still left. This was at around 21h30 when I last checked it. Then I went to sleep. The following morning around 7h20 I checked my data again and my to my surprise, I only had 2.69GBs left of my just renewed data bundle. Since I didn't use my phone all night because I was sleeping, where did 1.31GBs go to? I contacted MTN straight away but all agents are beating around the bush or not even replying to me when I ask what happened to this 1.31GBs. Clearly a mistake from their side which they don't want to admit. I need an answer, an apology and the 1.31GBs credited to my bundle since I didn't use it. It's now been more than a week since I first contacted them.

Good day Raquel,
Thank you for your post.
Please accept our apologies for the lapse in service and the inconvenience caused to you as a result.
Kindly note that the balance that you are referring to of 2.69GB was only for your anytime data, it does not include the Night Express bundle. The Night Express bundle is on a separate wallet.
Please be advised that you still have a balance of 2GB on the Night Express wallet. Kindly dial *136*1# and select data to check your balances.
We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
Warm Regards,Zanele MazibukoComplaints Management Team

Hi Zanele, Thank you for your reply. Your colleague Jacobeth answered the same in the meantime and I asked another question which I am still waiting for an answer too: my 4GBs have always been credited together. I always saw all my data together without any distinction between day or night data. Why is it different now? Has anything changed from MTNs side that the company didn’t make me aware about? I have also noticed that usually the data would expire on the 14th each month - and on the 14th I'd always see 4GBs or 3.99GBs - and it now expires on the 12th. Does all this reflect a change in the contract and MTN didn’t inform me of? Please provide an answer asap as I am tired of walking around in circles since the 12th this month. Regards, Raquel
