VERY DISGRUNTLED WITH MTN

More than a year ago I was conned by an outsourced agent from Mobile Plus, who deal with MTN upgrades. The consultant was very plausible and this lead me into upgrading my contract for my Data line on false information. This was regarding how much data was being utilised on the existing contract and how much I would get and this was such a fantastic offer as I would save money ...blah blah blah ... This was totally incorrect.

To cut a long story short the upgrade was reversed, after having complained on Hello Peter, and thereafter weeks/months of emails to and fro. They eventually agreed to cancel the termination date of 22 May 2021, so that at any stage I could either upgrade or terminate the contract immediately.

I called in around 3 weeks ago to cancel this contract as it is no longer needed, to be advised that the termination date of 22 May 2021 is still reflected. I immediately sent emails to Chanel Queries and Mobile Plus also got involved. I was advised about two weeks later that the termination date had been removed. Last week I called in again to cancel the contract only to find out that the termination date is still on this contract. The agent at Mobile Plus is waiting for a response from MTN Chanel Queries who don't seem to be able to do this. I have also sent an email directly to the CEO of MTN Ralph Mupita which too has not been responded to.

I have been a loyal client of MTN for more than 20 years, never once has my debit order not been paid.

For a huge corporate company the service is pathetic to say the least.

At the moment I am a very disgruntled MTN client, and I am seriously considering moving to another service provider.

My request is simple, deal the matter at hand in a professional, respectable, empathetic and customer centric manner; give regular feedback, take ownership, follow up, apologise for any errors and get resolution as quickly as possible.

This should not be difficult
